Review: Pride in London 2014

pride2014aDespite the fact that the early afternoon of 28 June was blighted by near constant drizzle, this year's Pride in London main parade and festivities were hailed a huge success. A record-breaking 30,000 people took part in the actual parade, which included around 30 floats and 200 different groups. Many, many more thousands lined the parade route, which began in Baker Street and made its way down Oxford Street and Regent Street.

Broken Rainbow's 10th anniversary

To commemorate this landmark, the team are throwing a gala dinner on Sunday 20 July 2014 at London's Café De Paris [pictured].

Saints and go-go boys in London

of saints and sinnersOf Saints and Go-Go Boys is a new production from Joseph Mercier and his company PanicLab. Coming to London's Toynbee Studios from 17-19 July 2014, the show has been inspired by Jean Genet's Our Lady Of The Flowers and looks at the concept of "outsiders, misfits and the formation of non-traditional families." The piece was originally Commissioned for Homotopia's tenth anniversary and premiered at Liverpool's Unity Theatre last November, where it was met with great acclaim.

Following the success of his acclaimed 2013 photographic exhibition, Red Hot – which set out to depict sexy images of male red heads – fashion and portrait photographer Thomas Knights has teamed up with the InterLaw Diversity Forum for his latest show.

The singer will be releasing her first single in 22 years - a cover of disco classic, 'So Many Men, So Little Time' on the same day as the Pride in London parade - 28 June 2014. She will be performing on the Out In The City and g3 float on the parade, and will then be performing on the main stage at Pride – and she wants you to get involved and to help her make it an amazing day of performances!
