Andy Bell's Spring Awakening

andybellOne of the most glittering events in the London gay calendar is the Spring Awakening party thrown by NAT (National AIDS Trust). This year’s event will take place at the historic Haberdasher’s Hall, Smithfield, on Thursday 30 May. It will be hosted by Christopher Biggins and Su Pollard (so you know it’s going to be a lively and camp affair!), while there will be an exclusive live acoustic set from Erasure’s Andy Bell (pictured) – his first live UK appearance since 2011.

The evening will feature free drinks (including a new cocktail created by mixologist Simon Difford), canapés, a tombola, raffle and much-anticipated auction offering money-cant-buy prizes. Last year’s event raised a whopping £35,000 and NAT are hoping to equal or better that this year.
Deborah Jack, Chief Executive of NAT (National AIDS Trust), said, “Spring Awakening is NAT'S flagship fundraising event so we always make sure that it's extra special. This year we’ve raised the bar that bit higher by getting some amazing celebrity support, a beautiful venue and some really exciting prizes. It’s important to remember that all the money raised goes directly to fund NAT’s vital work, which this year includes: campaigning for a better sex education for young gay men, providing guidance for people living with HIV on NHS services and training for teachers so they feel confident to talk about HIV with their pupils.”
Tickets to the event are £75 each and can be purchased from: http://www.nat.org.uk/events/springawakening.aspx
