Win a trip to Iceland!

iceland1The annual Bears On Ice festival – the world’s northernmost bearfest – returns to Iceland in September… and you could be attending if you win our exclusive competition!
Iceland Express, Bears On Ice and Alfred’s Apartments have teamed up with Out In The City to offer one lucky prize winner a four-day trip of a lifetime for two to the colourful capital.
The prize includes:
• Return flights with Iceland Express from London Gatwick–Reykjavík
• Four-day event pass for Bears on Ice
• Three night’s accommodation at Alfred’s Apartments, Reykjavík

iceland2From 6–9 September 2012, bears and friends are invited to visit Reykjavík, Iceland, for the eighth annual Bears On Ice 2012.
The four-day event kicks off with a Bears On Ice welcome party, where everyone gets to mingle and make friends at the Friday night ‘bear hugs’ party. The festival’s flagship party on the Saturday night will be co-hosted with Scandinavianbearsevents.com, which is well known for its fantastic BearAware parties in Copenhagen.
However, as always with Bears On Ice, it’s not all about partying. Activity-wise, the long weekend includes Golden Circle sightseeing tour which takes in Thingvellir national park, the golden falls of Gullfoss and the spouting geysers Geysir and Strokkur. A visit to the popular geothermal Blue Lagoon is a must-see attraction – located just outside of Reykjavík, the lagoon is dug into the middle of black lava blocks and houses water of 38 degrees Celsius.
Iceland Express operates six weekly flights between London Gatwick and Reykjavík, a summer twice-weekly service to Reykjavík from London Stansted and flights from Edinburgh to Reykjavík on Mondays and Thursdays.

iceland3Iceland Express offers a healthy onboard menu, has no length-of-stay restrictions, no Sunday rule and easy online booking. Iceland Express also offers a 25% discount for children under-12 years of age.
Flights cost from £89 one-way including all taxes, surcharges, check-in, seat allocation, a 20kg bag in the hold and 10kg hand luggage. Iceland Express do not charge extra for flights booked on a debit card.

iceland4Alfred’s Apartments (pictured left) are gay-owned and operated, and offer eight apartments in the center of Reykjavík. They are fully furnished with free Wi-Fi Internet, televisions and safety-deposit-boxes among other things.
