Brighton Pride seeks 2011 theme

brightonpride2The organisers of Pride in Brighton & Hove have announced the launch of the 2011 theme competition. One of the UK’s biggest Pride festivals, each year the colourful parade through the city centre adopts a different theme, with ‘Pride (Not Prejudice)’ being the choice for 2010. For 2011, they’re taking a slightly different approach to choosing their theme.

Local LGBT venues have each thought up a theme, and over the course of October and November each venue will hold a Pride fundraising event around their chosen theme. The fundraiser that raises the most money will be crowned the winner, with that venue’s theme being chosen for next August’s event. For details of individual fundraising events, contact the venues concerned.  The venues taking part and their suggested Pride 2011 themes:
