Treat your body with Yogasphere

yogasphereZapped out from the summer festivals? Fifty too many ice creams and Pimms in the park? Overdo it at one of the international Prides? For many of us the answer to one of the above, or similar, will be a big beer-belly 'yes'. So what can you do to continue enjoying the summer whilst giving your body a much needed MOT? Yogasphere has emerged this year as one of the UK’s premiere yoga establishments and might just be the answer.

With celebrity fans including Oprah Winfrey, the UK’s top yoga instructors, Leo Lourdes and Mandy Jhamat, hold weekly classes ‘in the skies’ in The Shard, London [pictured], as well as regular yoga retreats in gorgeous and exotic locations.

If something more affordable and close to home is what you’re after, then check in at The Shard for a Saturday morning session (Book here For £40 the session includes time to view The Shard: not bad considering it normally costs almost £30 to visit the building anyway. Mats are included and there in the private area you will enjoy world class yoga with 360 degree views, stretching as far as Windsor Castle.

In fine weather, some classes may take place on the 72nd floor, which is set just below the shards of glass that top the building and is open to the elements, adding to the profound experience.

For something a little more substantial, then why not trade in a weekend of overpriced clubbing in Ibiza for a luxury yoga retreat? From 24-31 August 2014, Yogasphere’s latest signature retreat will take place in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. There, you will stay at a stunning 5-star eco-friendly riad with views of the mountains, gardens or the river in the valley below.

Only 45-minutes into central Marrakech, this peaceful riad is the perfect place to retreat to once you've enjoyed the bohemian delights of the bazaars.

The all-inclusive retreat is based on the seven chakras, where Yogasphere will work energising and balancing each chakra every day using the corresponding poses, visualisation, mantra and breath. You will leave feeling connected and harmonious with your physical and energy body.

Prices start from £852.50-£2,420 pp, including accommodation, healthy meals, yoga, meditation, use of hammam facilities and a treatment, use of relaxation areas and swimming pool and a trip to Marrakech town. There are also plenty of optional spa treatments available. For more information visit the Yogasphere website. James Wong
